Cybersecurity Architect

**Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Design, execute and monitor the security infrastructure for the protection of network systems for large enterprises.
- Implement network and zoning changes, working with technology from Cisco, Palo Alto.
- Coordinate with client implementation teams to implement changes, including participating in trouble-shooting calls and configuration processes.
- Installation of network infrastructure, execute test plans (including troubleshooting) and test cases to verify the implementation against the target requirements on development, QA, and Production environments for large enterprises.
- Execute network security changes including:

- VLAN creation & spanning
- Configuration of zones, rules and VLAN interfaces
- VDI related network configuration in Azure and Azure Core Services isolation.
- Testing of isolation rules, accesses, connectivity, etc.
- Configuration of VNETs, subnets, Azure Network Security Groups and Firewalls
- Work with other teams and stakeholders, and vendors when applicable to understand and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in project management processes to ensure solution designs comply with security standards and the solution deployed to production adheres to those same standards.
- Participate in meetings to plan change management activities, including drafting and presenting technology change requests.
- Engage in a continuous improvement approach by identifying root causes of problems and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements to support project delivery.
- Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science.
- 5-8 years of infrastructure technology experience, with emphasis in implementing network security programs, in an agile business environment
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certifications are an asset.
- Experience working on large-scale software projects
- Professional experience using cybersecurity and open-source technology
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (i.e., Azure and AWS). Azure and AWS cybersecurity certifications are an asset.
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding collaboration and communication skills are essential
- Ability to work independently on a difficult task, and transition to team projects as needed that are beyond an individual level scope
- Must be willing to travel
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required and work in the office on a hybrid schedule
