Manages the financial operations within a duty-free shop or related business. This role involves tasks like managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. They also handle budgeting, forecasting, and month-end/year-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Financial Management**:
Overseeing all accounting operations, including billing, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
- **Reporting**:
Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements and coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- **Compliance**:
Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting, and managing compliance with local tax and financial regulations.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**:
Coordinating the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and analyzing variances.
- **Month-End/Year-End Close**:
Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes.
- **Internal Controls**:
Strengthening internal controls and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- **Inventory Management**:
May involve specific duties related to inventory accounting, particularly in the context of duty-free goods with unique tax implications.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of three (3) years proven experience as a Senior Accountant with a strong background in bookkeeping.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping best practices.
- Proficient in financial accounting reporting.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- Proficient in accounting software particularly Quickbooks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other employees and departments

Pay: From E£12,000.00 per month
