StatsBomb was founded in January 2017 to provide data, analytics, and consultancy to football clubs, media, and sports betting companies. StatsBomb continually undertake new research and are well known in the analytics industry for providing unique insights into the game of football. We have developed our own proprietary industry-leading data collection and analytics software with a user-friendly high-vis front end.
StatsBomb have grown from our initial team of 3 at the start of 2017 to over 400 employees based in the UK, US and Egypt and are continuing to grow and expand our operation. We currently process over 600 games per week across 80 European and American leagues, with over 30 million events every day, and cover more than 80 leagues globally.

We're a football analytics SAAS business that is scaling rapidly. Likewise, we sell data products as well as analysis tools to sports organizations, with a tech stack that includes computer vision, machine learning, stream processing, and web-based data viz. Furthermore, we count many of the biggest names in football as customers, and your work will have a direct impact on our ability to deliver insights to those customers, driving success on the field and in the media space, driving fan engagement.

**The opportunity**

StatsBomb is growing and is in need of a new Product Owner to help guide and manage one of our teams of skilled developers. The Product Owner will manage priorities, guide the assessment of technology choices and solutions (with support from our tech teams), communicate with all stakeholders, manage the team's roadmap, organizes the team's epics and stories (we use Jira), and keep the team on schedule.
The Role

The Associate Product Manager (APM) role is a critical role in every product team at StatsBomb. The APM is responsible for turning the product vision and business plans into epic mapping, story writing and sprint planning in combination with Senior engineers, UI designers, Engineering Management, and the Product Manager.

**As an Associate Product Manager at StatsBomb, you will be responsible for**:

- Create, maintain and prioritize the product backlog, release plans and sprint backlog on a monthly basis.
- Conduct customer interviews, market research, and present data analysis to the product organization and other executives within the business team.
- Coordinating findings with the product team and aligning them with business goals.
- Suggesting product enhancements to improve user experience.
- Coordinating with the engineering department to deliver functional solutions
- Prioritize the implementation of new features and set specific timelines
- Previous work experience as an Associate Product Manager, Product Owner or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with web technologies
- Knowledge of project management tools, like Jira or Trello
- Good communication skills along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams
- Superb time management and multitasking skills
