Overview

You will work for the Engineering team on the design and development of vehicle intelligence, control, and connectivity embedded systems solutions.

What you will do:

- Define the solutions that support Shift EV vehicle's intelligence, control, and connectivity.
- Lead the embedded solutions requirements definition based on the product inputs and perform the whole design process.
- Lead hardware/software team in developing the required solutions as per the required design.
- Lead the functional safety analysis of the solutions in scope.
- Decision maker of software OS selection and configuration.
- Follow up on the hardware design and implementation.
- Provide technical support for the team members.
- Responsible for the project's execution.
- Support in identifying the team vision.
- Support the embedded system's stakeholders.

Who you are:

- A BSc degree holder in Electronics, Communication, Computer engineering, Computer science, or equivalent.
- An embedded systems engineer with 6+ years of experience.
- 2+ years of experience in leading embedded hardware/software co-development.
- System-level requirements and design experience is required.
- With a solid understanding of embedded C/C++ programming, hardware and software interfacing, and embedded systems communication protocols.
- Experience with delivering high-quality software products.
- With a solid understanding of bootloaders and flashing, OTA flashing background is a plus.
- With a solid background in product testing levels.
- With a solid background in automotive standards for embedded systems development.
- With a solid understanding of automotive safety.
- Understanding the Autosar stacks is a plus.
- Experienced with Git and configuration management.
- With Python and scripting experience.
- With a background in embedded hardware design.
- Automotive background is a must.
- IoT background is a plus.
- Software development life cycle knowledge.
- Able to lead within an Agile-based project environment.
- An autonomous and resourceful problem solver.
- An excellent communicator who is able to work with different styles of people and influence different stakeholders.
