Engagements are typically focused on the digitization of existing operations & processes and/or activation of digital customer engagement channels. **About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with ERP systems, excellent analytical skills, expertise in tax regulations within Egypt and the GCC region, and ideally, experience working within the tech services industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) and provide insightful variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), including tax regulations in Egypt and the GCC.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff
- Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting and tax policies and procedures.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax laws in Egypt and the GCC.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax regulations in Egypt and the GCC and advise management on potential impacts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in the accounting field.
- Proven experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo).
- Experience working in the GCC region is preferred.
- CMA, CFA, or CPA certification is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Preferred to have:

- Demonstrable knowledge of tax regulations in Egypt and the GCC.
- Experience working in the tech services industry.
