The Delivery and Investment Planning Team play a pivotal role in driving the right investment for our product delivery to achieve the greatest value for Vodafone. We work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders, collaborating with Portfolio Clusters, Technology, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and Finance to establish a cadence and culture around best practices, and support our product portfolios to work more effectively.

**Role purpose**:

- The Delivery & Investment Planning Specialist will:
- Review and manage the CAPEX and OPEX budget position every month for each Product Portfolio. Analysing the data to provide clear insight on any cost increases, current spend rate of each Portfolio & provide recommendations for any overspend or underspend;
- Attend Monthly Portfolio Sync meetings to review delivery progress for each Product Portfolio, understand any changes in delivery timelines, budget requirements & scope etc and the commercial impact of these changes;
- Identify common blockers to delivery progress across the Portfolio Clusters and raise these into SLT, Central Lean Portfolio Management Team (LPM) & POM as required;
- Review and analyse the Product Portfolio’s progress against their relevant Delivery KPIs;
- Present a monthly Delivery & Investment report to the Portfolio Cluster Leads, providing them with a delivery & budget overview, an understanding of the key delivery risks within their portfolios & critical funding decisions which need to be made;
- Highlight any significant cost increases to the Commercial Governance Team to support the assessment of a Product Portfolio’s Business Case;
- Partner with the equivalent Portfolio LPM (Lean Portfolio Manager) to run quarterly Strategic Portfolio Reviews, challenging investment decisions based on your budget and spend analysis;

**Key accountabilities and decision ownership**:

- Create strong partnerships based on personal influence and credibility.
- Generates reports and deliver presentations created from different source files (Actuals, Forecast, Targets etc)
- Manages the Product Portfolio’s budget & delivery overview.
- Implements and manages the change process for each Portfolio.
- Proactive use of and reporting on Jira to show portfolio backlogs.

**Core competencies, knowledge and experience**:

- Advanced analytical and data interpretation Skills
- Finance skills along with excellent presentation skills, flexibility to adapt concepts and proposals to strategic priorities.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience of working in structured and/or Agile Project Management environment
- Understanding of SAFe
- Working knowledge of Jira
- Strong planning and project management skills
- Stakeholder management and communications skills
- Experience of working in complex, global matrix environment
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple activities under tight timeframes, while maintaining the professional standard.

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:

- 5 years Project Management experience
- Analytical and budget experience is a must
- Agile Project Management and SAFe knowledge
- Structured Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2)
