Role and Responsibilities
- Support the purchasing manager in Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers.
- Request quotes and compare prices for maximum ROI.
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers on the local level.
- Preparing comparison between offers on the local purchasing.
- Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply on the local level.
- Arrange providing samples of the products from the supplier to ensure the best quality.
- Track incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note actual arrival time.
- Organize and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies.
- Work with team members, supervisors, and purchasing manager to develop future purchasing plans and source potential relationships with vendors.
- Analyze potential vendors and suppliers for future project needs.
- Draft the Purchase Orders, getting them approved by the management and send them to the suppliers.
- Reporting the latest update of purchasing with the purchasing manager and follow his given instructions.
- Collaborate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field preferred
- Solid knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes, policy, and systems
- Two years previous experience as purchasing employee or related position
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written in English, communication skills; able to negotiate, establish, and process contracts
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in procurement field either locally or internationally.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Reliable and responsible with excellent negotiation skills.
- Intercultural competency and ability to understand and solve conflicts.
- Ability to understand the market and how to deal with potential reliable suppliers
- Ability to deal with the vaRS procurement team if needed.
- Excellent teamwork skills within the company and with vaRS team if needed.
- Ability to follow both the company's policies and guidelines.
Ability to follow up the market status and the political situation internally and externally.
Additional Notes
Has to work under pressure.
Having a car is preferred.
Pay: From E£30.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cairo: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
