**About the role**:
As the **Financial Controller**, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial landscape of our company during this pivotal stage of growth you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data while providing strategic guidance to support our company's growth objectives. This position reports directly to the Global VP of Finance and offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled finance professional to make a significant impact in a fast-paced startup environment

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Accounting Operations**:

- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Streamline billing processes to enhance accuracy and timeliness, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.
- **Financial Reporting**:

- Oversee the monthly closing process, prepare timely and accurate financial statements ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to accounting standards.
- Consolidate the financial statements for multiple entities on a regular basis.
- Monitor budget performance and identify variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- **Cash Management and Treasury**:

- Proactively manage cash flow and liquidity, implementing strategies to optimize working capital and support business growth initiatives.
- ** Audit and Compliance Management**:

- Conduct periodic audits and ensure compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements, staying abreast of changes and developments in financial regulations.
- Coordinate with external audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Mentor and develop a team of accountants, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- ** Process Optimization**:

- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across accounting and finance functions.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with significant exposure to leadership responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA designation is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software, and ERP systems; experience with SaaS metrics and reporting tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting standards, with experience working with multiple currencies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
