**About the Job**

**Responsibilities**
- Design and architect Taager data lake into being the single source of data & truth
- Ensure consistency and integrity of data across different domains.
- Be part of OLTP system and customer events design to ensure proper data availability.
- Decide on how to orchestrate data pipelines and their CICD pipelines.
- Experiment with new tools and methods to ensure that our infrastructure is highly reliable and efficient.
- Partner with the Data products and experimentation team to provide data in a timely fashion to support product decision-making.
- Experience working as a data engineer or a similar experience.
- Extensive experience in designing data lakes and data warehouses.
- Extensive experience in developing data integration pipelines using python or any similar language.
- Have hands-on experience developing optimized, complex SQL.
- Experience working with data masking and governance.
- Experience working with data catalogs like Apache Atlas and Amundsen.
- Experience working with data quality tools like great expectations.
- Experience in using git for code management.
- Experience with snowflake or Postgres databases, or any columnar store databases.
- Experience with data pipelines orchestration tools like airflow is a huge plus.
- Experience with message queuing systems like Kafka is a huge plus.
- Strong product sense.

We are a remote-friendly team, with our HQ located in Cairo city. We have colleagues that work both remote and onsite daily and the only requirement is for your core working hours to be between 11 am to 5 pm EET.
