We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team at a leading company in the Food, Beverages, and Tobacco industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining positive relationships with our clients. This role is crucial to our financial health and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and send customer invoices and statements timely and accurately, following up on overdue accounts as necessary.
  • Monitor incoming cash, reconcile payments with customer accounts, and address discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve billing issues and enhance customer experience.
  • Conduct credit assessments on new and existing customers to minimize financial risk.
  • Generate and analyze AR reports to track collections, outstanding balances, and financial performance metrics.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts receivable accounts.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation related to accounts receivable and addressing auditor inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in accounts receivable or accounting roles, preferably in the Food, Beverages, or Tobacco industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain client relationships and collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
