Role Description

The role involves evaluating suppliers, preparing and issuing purchase orders, managing requests for quotations (RFQs), and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Additionally, the Mechanical Procurement Engineer is expected to communicate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams while utilizing strong analytical skills to optimize procurement processes.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Supplier Evaluation and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes
  • Ability to create and manage Purchase Orders in an efficient manner
  • Strong Analytical Skills for assessing procurement needs, supplier capabilities, and cost-effectiveness
  • Effective Communication skills for collaboration within teams and with suppliers
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems is advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field
  • Experience in procurement or a similar role, ideally within the construction or engineering industry
