We're seeking an experienced engineering leader with deep, hands-on expertise in Java, C#, and AI-driven architecture to shape the next generation of intelligent healthcare systems. Role Overview

is seeking a hands-on and visionary Engineering Manager with deep expertise in Java, C#, and AI-driven development to join our Cairo-based engineering team.

 As an Engineering Manager specializing in AI and backend systems, you will lead a team of talented engineers to design, build, and scale the intelligent services powering AllCare's care coordination platform. You will lead by example — coding, mentoring, and architecting — while driving the technical direction of our AI and backend systems that power coordinated, intelligent healthcare delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead with Impact: Mentor and scale a high-performing engineering team; champion excellence in design, testing, and delivery.
• Architect Scalable Platforms: Design modular, secure architectures spanning APIs, data services, and distributed microservices.
• Build Intelligent Systems: Architect and deploy AI agents that automate coordination, scheduling, and clinical workflows across partner facilities.
• Engineer with Purpose: Write production-grade code in Java and C#, modeling best practices for reliability and scalability.
• Champion AI-Enhanced Development: Integrate and promote AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LangChain, or OpenAI APIs) to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Advance DevOps Maturity: Oversee CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure.
• Collaborate for Innovation: Work closely with product, data, and operations teams to align business needs with technical execution.
• Shape the Future: Contribute to AllCare's long-term technical roadmap, evaluating emerging AI frameworks and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java and C#, with a strong command of backend architecture, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Proven experience designing and deploying AI-driven systems or intelligent agents in production environments.
• Deep understanding of system design, database architecture (SQL and NoSQL), and cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills with the ability to guide technical teams to successful delivery.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, Spring AI) and LLM-based integrations.
• Strong cloud optimization and observability skills.
• Prior experience leading distributed engineering teams across time zones.
• Experience in healthcare, healthtech, or other regulated industries is strongly preferred.
