The Planning Team Leader is responsible for leading the planning and scheduling efforts across multiple construction projects, ensuring timely project delivery, efficient resource allocation, and effective coordination among stakeholders. This role will oversee the development, monitoring, and analysis of project schedules using planning software (Primavera P6 or equivalent), while supporting decision-making with accurate reporting and forecasting.

Location: Head Office (New Cairo)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation, updating, and monitoring of detailed project schedules in line with the contract requirements and project objectives.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to gather progress data and ensure schedule alignment.
  • Develop work breakdown structures (WBS), project milestones, and critical path schedules.
  • Identify schedule risks and opportunities, proposing corrective actions to mitigate delays or optimize sequencing.
  • Analyze and report on schedule variances, progress trends, and resource loading.
  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports and dashboards for internal and client use.
  • Manage and mentor a team of planning engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
  • Support cost control by integrating schedules with project budgets and forecasts.
  • Participate in project meetings and presentations, providing time-related insights and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and project control procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale construction projects.
  • Proven experience leading a planning team on-site or in a corporate environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management processes, and contract management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • PMP or PSP certification is a plus.
