About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Plumbing Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of plumbing systems for complex projects, including residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use developments. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

• Lead the design and coordination of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, stormwater, irrigation, and fire protection systems from concept to IFC (Issued for Construction) stage.
• Prepare, review, and approve detailed design documents, including system layouts, schematics, hydraulic calculations, and equipment schedules.
• Conduct technical evaluations and ensure designs comply with applicable international codes and standards (e.g., IPC, NFPA, ASHRAE, UPC) and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems within the overall building design.
• Review and validate shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents from contractors and vendors to ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Support site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning phases, providing technical guidance and resolving design-related issues.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, green building solutions, and sustainable plumbing design practices.
• Ensure all designs meet safety, efficiency, and sustainability standards while optimizing project cost and performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in plumbing design and engineering on large-scale building projects (low-rise and high-rise).
• Proven expertise in plumbing system design, hydraulic calculations, and selection of plumbing fixtures and equipment.
• Strong understanding of international design standards and local authority requirements (e.g., Saudi Building Code, Civil Defense).
• Experience in value engineering, design reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead design discussions and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work under pressure.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.

Knowledge and Functional Competencies:

• Comprehensive understanding of plumbing and fire protection system design.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building.
• Strong project coordination and technical review capabilities.
• Leadership and mentoring skills for guiding junior engineers and team members.
• Ability to interpret and apply codes, standards, and specifications accurately.
