Position Summary

The Future Pro: Project Manager – NBA Egypt supports the coordination and execution of projects across multiple departments, gaining exposure to NBA Africa operations and regional basketball development initiatives. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate passionate about sports and event management. Responsibilities include assisting with administrative tasks, event logistics, stakeholder communications, and project tracking. The position offers hands-on experience in cross-functional collaboration, marketing support, and community engagement, while developing foundational skills in project management and organizational effectiveness within the Egyptian sports ecosystem.

Major Responsibilities

Project Support

• Assist in coordinating local and regional projects by tracking timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder input.
• Support scheduling, documentation, and follow-ups to ensure smooth execution of NBA Egypt programs.
• Help monitor progress using basic project tools and templates.

Team Collaboration

• Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, grassroots development) to support integrated initiatives.
• Assist in organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and capturing action items.
• Maintain communication and alignment across departments and with NBA Africa headquarters.

Reporting and Documentation

• Compile basic reports on project progress and operational activities for Egypt-based initiatives.
• Ensure accuracy and timely updates for internal stakeholders and regional leadership.

Marketing and Content Coordination

• Support timelines and deliverables for marketing campaigns tailored to Egyptian audiences.
• Assist with asset tracking and communication between creative and digital teams for localized content.

Community and Player Programs

• Help coordinate logistics and communications for community engagement events (e.g., youth clinics, school programs).
• Assist in gathering feedback and compiling post-event reports to measure impact.

Fan Experience and Ticketing

• Support ticketing operations for local NBA events by tracking orders and assisting with customer service coordination.
• Help maintain documentation to ensure a smooth fan experience in Egypt.

General Administration

• Maintain shared project trackers and schedules for Egypt-based initiatives.
• Assist with meeting preparation and follow-ups to keep projects on track.

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Fluent in English and Arabic (written and verbal).
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and engage effectively with colleagues at all levels
• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform in a fast-changing environment
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to timely reporting
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Familiarity with project tracking tools (MS Project or similar)
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Basic understanding of project documentation and reporting
• Cultural awareness of Egyptian sports landscape and fan engagement trend

Experience Needed

• 2 years of work experience, preferably in project coordination, administrative, or similar role within a fast-paced environment and administrative or operational roles within a project environment.

Educational Background Required

• Higher education institution (vocational school, professional degree, university degree, or master's degree) in related field.
