Backend Developer

We are looking for a quality-driven Backend Developer with a strong sense of ownership to join our engineering team. You'll work on building and maintaining APIs and backend features, writing reliable code, and learning on the job.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain backend features and REST/HTTP APIs.

  • Write clear, tested, and well-documented code for production.

  • Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, QA, DevOps and product to deliver features.

  • Fix bugs, handle incidents, and help troubleshoot production issues.

  • Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews and follow team standards.

  • Learn and apply performance improvements/optimizations (query tuning, caching).

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience building backend systems (production experience required).

  • Strong hands-on experience with one backend language and framework (e.g., Python — Django/DRF/FastAPI/Flask; — Express/Nest; Go; Java, etc).

  • Solid experience with relational databases (Postgres or MySQL) and writing efficient queries.

  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with authentication/authorization patterns (JWT, OAuth).

  • Good understanding of system fundamentals: HTTP, TCP, concurrency, and caching strategies.

  • Comfortable using Git and participating in team CI/CD workflows.

  • Experience writing automated tests (unit and integration).

  • Basic knowledge of Docker and working in Linux environments.

  • Good debugging skills and able to read logs/basic metrics.

Nice to have

  • Some exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) or CI tools.

  • Familiarity with background jobs/queues (Celery, RabbitMQ).

  • Experience with FastAPI or Go

  • Experience contributing to a team codebase and following established patterns.
