SWATX is seeking a
proactive and detail-oriented Senior Cloud Engineer – OCI
to join our Professional Services (PS) team. This role is pivotal in designing and delivering complex, enterprise-grade OCI solutions — combining
deep technical expertise
with
strong leadership and client-facing skills
.

You'll engage directly with clients to translate business needs into actionable cloud architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Your work will play a vital role in helping organizations maximize the value and resilience of their OCI environments.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and implement complex, scalable OCI architectures across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

· Lead technical workstreams for large migration and modernization projects.

· Conduct architecture reviews and deliver improvement recommendations.

· Implement secure, high-availability networking on OCI.

· Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Python.

· Lead or support migrations to OCI using native tools and best practices.

· Troubleshoot technical issues across compute, networking, databases, and storage.

· Mentor mid-level engineers and promote design best practices.

· Document designs, implementation plans, and operational runbooks.

· Support DevOps initiatives and CI/CD automation pipelines.

Requirements:

· 10+ years of overall technology experience.

· 4–6 years in cloud infrastructure and systems engineering.

· Minimum 3 years of hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience.

· Strong expertise with OCI migration tools and frameworks (
RackWare experience required
).

· Proven experience with Oracle Database migrations to OCI (Autonomous DB or DB Systems).

· Deep understanding of OCI networking, compute, storage, IAM, and HA design.

· Knowledge of DR, backup, and cross-region deployment strategies.

· Solid Linux (Oracle/RHEL) and Windows Server administration.

· Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized workloads.

· Exposure to multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

· Excellent communication and client interaction skills.

·
OCI Architect Professional certification
preferred.
