Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Accountant located in Qesm 1st 6 October. The Chief Accountant will manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including monitoring and analyzing accounting data, producing financial reports and statements, and establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Additional responsibilities include budget preparation and financial planning, auditing financial transactions and documents, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and review daily accounting transactions (AP, AR, GL, Inventory).
  • Ensure compliance with 
    Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS)
     and tax regulations.
  • Review and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage all aspects of 
    income tax, VAT, payroll tax, and social insurance
     reporting.
  • Conduct account reconciliations, accruals, and provisions on time.
  • Monitor inventory accounting and cost allocations in line with FMCG operations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Support in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Lead, train, and mentor the accounting team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA / CMA certification is a plus.
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws, social insurance, and compliance.
  • Experience in FMCG or Supply Chain industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Relevant experience in import/export or trading companies is preferred
