BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
To deliver a range of routine business support tasks, to ensure that staff are effectively supported.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist the distribution of cards at the site ensure proper distribution of entitlements verify appropriate entitlements are distributed and provide feedback to field officers and others on the distribution.
2. Report periodically to the WFP officer on relevant events regarding food management, distribution, and other related issues.
3. Identify any apparent issues in the programme and report them to the appropriate personnel.
4. Respond to all inquiries/complaints from suggestion boxes post-distribution.
5. Ensure appropriate messages are being updated and communicated with refugees through the
hotline.
6. Revise the card log and send it to finance.
7. Initiate and process administrative actions such as those found in human resources, travel,
procurement, and ICT.
8. Coordinate and arrange facilities for meetings and workshops.
9. Organize and assist travel arrangements in line with administrative rules and procedures.
10. Other as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES REQUIRED: -
Education: Bachelor's degree in economics, Social Science, Political Science, or any other related functional
will be an added value.
Experience: minimum of 3 years of experience in the humanitarian, development, or emergency response field.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Ability to use standard office equipment such as photocopiers and scanners.
• Knowledge of standardized business support work routines and methods.
• Knowledge of standard office software packages, e.g. Microsoft Word.
• Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information from a variety of individuals.
• Good attention to detail in order to identify data discrepancies.
• Ability to work to deadlines and follow clear instructions.
Language: Fluency in both oral & written communication in English & Arabi
