Architectural Technical Office Engineer (Revit Expert)

Job Purpose:

To manage and execute architectural technical office works using Revit at an expert level, including the preparation of detailed architectural shop drawings, BIM models, quantity surveying, material and technical submittals, and clash detection, ensuring full coordination among all disciplines and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contracts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Architectural Shop Drawings (Revit)

Prepare architectural shop drawings for each architectural element, including water features, with all required execution details.

Prepare detailed tile shop drawings, showing layouts, levels, joints, patterns, and edge details.

Extract all shop drawings accurately from the Revit model in accordance with approved standards.

  1. BIM Modeling & Coordination

Develop Revit Architecture BIM models at LOD 300–400.

Coordinate architectural models with Structural and MEP disciplines.

Perform and follow up on clash detection activities in coordination with the BIM team.

Prepare and submit detailed Clash Detection Reports, including clash locations, descriptions, and proposed solutions.

  1. Quantity Surveying

Perform quantity take-off and prepare BOQs for architectural works directly from the Revit model.

Review quantities in accordance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.

Support the cost control and claims teams with accurate quantities.

  1. Material & Technical Submittals

Prepare and submit material submittals for architectural works.

Prepare technical submittals, including drawings, data sheets, method statements, and samples.

Follow up on approvals with consultants and clients to ensure compliance with specifications.

  1. Technical Support & Quality Control

Respond to architectural RFIs.

Ensure architectural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Prepare as-built architectural drawings at project completion.

  1. Leadership & Supervision

Supervise architectural technical office engineers and Revit modelers.

Review and approve models and drawings prior to submission.

Train junior engineers on Revit usage and BIM project standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture.

5–8 years of experience in architectural technical office roles.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on Revit experience at an expert level.

Technical Skills:

Revit Architecture – Expert Level

Architectural & tile shop drawings

Quantity surveying from BIM models

Material and technical submittals

Clash detection & reporting (Revit / Navisworks)

AutoCAD – Advanced level

Soft Skills:

High attention to detail

Strong communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Leadership and teamwork abilities
