Job Purpose

To ensure uninterrupted product availability by managing the end-to-end material planning, procurement coordination, and inventory control processes within the FMCG supply chain. The role focuses on effective MRP execution, supplier performance, and logistics coordination to support production schedules, minimize costs, and maintain optimal stock levels.

Key Responsibilities

Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

  • Execute and monitor MRP runs to ensure raw and packaging materials availability in line with production and sales forecasts.
  • Review demand trends and lead times to optimize material flow and prevent shortages.
  • Collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Sales to align material plans with changing demand and promotions.

Procurement Coordination & Supplier Management

  • Prepare and release purchase orders in line with approved plans.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery.
  • Maintain accurate supplier data and evaluate delivery performance through ERP reports.
  • Support sourcing activities and contribute to supplier performance reviews.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Monitor inventory accuracy and safety stock levels across raw materials and packaging.
  • Ensure FIFO and FEFO principles are applied in all warehouse operations.
  • Conduct regular stock reconciliations and participate in physical counts.
  • Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete materials.

Logistics & Distribution Support

  • Coordinate inbound deliveries from suppliers to production sites and warehouses.
  • Track shipment status and resolve any delivery discrepancies.
  • Support outbound distribution planning for finished goods when required.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Generate daily and weekly reports on MRP accuracy, inventory status, and supplier OTIF.
  • Participate in cost optimization, process improvement, and lead-time reduction initiatives.
  • Contribute to cross-functional S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of supply chain or planning experience within FMCG manufacturing or distribution.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in material planning, supplier coordination, and logistics control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
