Key Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-End Payroll Processing:

  2. Manage the complete monthly payroll cycle for a multi-layered workforce (blue-collar, white-collar, sales force, etc.).

  3. Accurately calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, commissions, incentives, and other payments.
  4. Process deductions for social insurance, taxes, unpaid leaves, and other authorized deductions.

  5. Handle payroll adjustments, advances, and final settlements with precision.

  6. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:

  7. Ensure 100% compliance with the Egyptian Labor Law, Social Insurance Law, and Tax Laws.

  8. Stay updated on changes in legislation and implement necessary changes to payroll processes.
  9. Prepare and submit all mandatory governmental reports and payments on time (e.g., Social Insurance Authority, Tax Authority).

  10. Act as the primary point of contact for government audits related to payroll and social insurance.

  11. Systems & Data Management:

  12. Maintain and update the payroll system with employee data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and allowances.

  13. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all payroll data.

  14. Collaborate with the HR team to ensure seamless data flow between HRIS and payroll systems.

  15. Reporting & Analytics:

  16. Generate standard and ad-hoc payroll reports for management, HR, and Finance departments.

  17. Provide insightful analysis on payroll costs, headcount, and trends.

  18. Prepare monthly journal entries and payroll reconciliations for the Finance department.

  19. Stakeholder Support & Problem Solving:

  20. Serve as the primary expert for resolving complex payroll inquiries from employees and management.

  21. Liaise with bank representatives regarding salary transfer files and any related issues.

  22. Support the HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams with payroll-related information for budgeting and offers.

  23. Process Improvement:

  24. Continuously review and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.

  25. Document all payroll procedures and maintain a strong internal control environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or supervisory role. Experience within a multinational corporation (MNC) or a large pharmaceutical company is a significant plus.
  • Certifications: A payroll certification is highly desirable.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • In-depth Knowledge: Mastery of Egyptian labor law, social insurance regulations, and income tax laws.
  • Systems Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho, or localized Egyptian systems). High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) is essential.
  • Language: Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is mandatory.
