About the job

The cashier is an essential and vital member of the team within entertainment facilities. Their role is to provide excellent customer service as they are the first point of contact with visitors.

They must maintain customer satisfaction through efficient, accurate service and direct, polite interaction with the public.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be capable of handling the cashier devices and software, including performing tasks like transaction cancellations and corrections.
  • Have full knowledge of ticket prices and game categories.
  • Have complete knowledge of the cashier system.
  • Maintain focus and attention while working under pressure.
  • Keep a friendly, welcoming smile when dealing with customers.
  • Be familiar with the names and details of all games.
  • Immediately report any issue in dealing with customers to the direct supervisor.
  • Perform cash counting and reconciliation at the end of the shift.
  • Transfer cash amounts from the register to the main safe at the end of each shift, even multiple times if needed.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Be attentive and detail-oriented when dealing with customers.
  • Be efficient and fast in task completion, as the nature of the work is fast-paced and requires teamwork.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any of these majors: Commerce, Business Administration, or Accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar field
  • Good ethics and polite manners in dealing with customers
  • Good English Language
  • Proficient in using cashier systems and electronic devices
  • Good computer literacy and preferably ICDL certified
  • Strong personality and communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with others
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Quick thinking and good conversational skills
  • Daily verbal and written communication with the direct supervisor
  • Coordination and communication with all other departments and their staff
  • Maintain full confidentiality in all work-related matters.
