Supervisor Property and Casualty Underwriter

Oversees a team of underwriters who handle property and casualty insurance policies, responsible for ensuring that the team follows underwriting guidelines, accurately evaluates risks, and maintains profitability. The supervisor works closely with senior management to develop and implement underwriting strategies, manage a portfolio of clients, and monitor the performance of policies.
Accountabilities:
1. Approach new clients to get new business (credit insurance).
2. Following up Application system problems with the IT dept. with aiming to enhance it
3. Quote risks and issuing the offers after assessing it.
4. Following up all renewals.
5. Issuing policies, renewals and endorsements for all products manually and system.
6. Following up the recommendation with the client raised from the risk engineer.
7. Preparing reinsurance slips and follow up reinsurance cases.
8. Preparing all required reports upon request.
9. Audit monthly to be sure it is in line with the UW Guideline and regulator rules.
Training and guiding the junior underwriter and branches to be in line with our UW guideline.
Supervise a team of underwriters who handle property and casualty insurance policies
Performing any other job assigned by direct manager.
Qualifications:

years of experience.
University degree.
Professional certificates are a plus.
Good knowledge of insurance products and operations.
High analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent leadership skills.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in teams.
Very good time management and organizational skills.
Creative and highly motivated with an ability to handle work pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent coaching skills and keen on learning, self-development.

Very good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,).
Very good written & spoken English and Arabic.
