Supply Chain Specialist – Pharmaceutical Distribution
( Full time )

Job Purpose

To manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations for pharmaceutical products, including demand planning, procurement, inventory control, and coordination with pharmaceutical manufacturers to ensure continuous product availability and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Establish and maintain direct business relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturing companies.

  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, supply agreements, and annual contracts.

  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure alignment with company quality and compliance standards.

  • Coordinate purchase orders, order confirmations, and delivery schedules.

2. Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Collect and analyze sales data, market trends, and customer demand to create accurate forecasts.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to develop and adjust monthly/quarterly demand plans.

  • Identify potential shortages and propose proactive solutions.

3. Inventory Management

  • Maintain optimal stock levels according to GSDP requirements.

  • Monitor stock aging, expiries, and batch/lot tracking.

  • Coordinate replenishment cycles to avoid overstocking or stockouts.

4. Logistics & Distribution Coordination

  • Coordinate inbound shipments with manufacturers and outbound deliveries with warehouse and transport teams.

  • Monitor lead times, transit times, and ensure on-time delivery to customers.

  • Ensure compliance with temperature-controlled storage and transport conditions (Cold Chain where applicable).

5. Regulatory & Quality Compliance

  • Ensure all supply chain operations comply with EDA and GSDP requirements.

  • Maintain proper documentation for procurement, importation, and product traceability.

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to manage deviations, returns, and recalls.

6. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare supply chain KPIs including forecast accuracy, supplier performance, inventory turnover, service level, and cost optimization.

  • Recommend process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

    • Generate monthly supply chain performance reports for management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, or related field.

  • Master in business administration is a plus.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical distribution or healthcare supply chain (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of EDA regulations, and pharmaceutical documentation.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Other Requirements:

  • The position requires frequent travel between clients/sites.
