Job Description: R&D Sales Engineer
Position Overview
The R&D Sales Engineer acts as a bridge between product development and the market, combining technical expertise with commercial acumen. This role involves collaborating with the R&D team to develop innovative solutions, providing technical sales support, and engaging with clients to identify needs, propose solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. The R&D Sales Engineer plays a critical role in turning cutting-edge technologies into viable products and revenue-generating opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Sales & Customer Engagement
- Identify customer needs and translate them into technical requirements for R&D.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals.
- R&D Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D to guide product development in line with market demands.
- Provide feedback from customers and industry trends to influence new product features and improvements.
- Participate in testing, validation, and prototyping phases to ensure market readiness.
- Market & Product Development
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities.
- Assist in defining product specifications and value propositions.
- Support go-to-market strategies with input on technical differentiation.
- Project & Technical Support
- Manage technical aspects of customer projects, ensuring solutions meet specifications.
- Provide post-sales technical support, troubleshooting, and training.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical)
- 3–5 years of experience in sales engineering, product development, or R&D support roles.
- Proven track record of supporting technical sales and product launches.
- Fluency in [insert relevant languages] and willingness to travel as needed.
