Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising the on-site installation of fire suppression systems (sprinklers, pumps, extinguishers), plumbing lines, and HVAC ducting and equipment under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support coordination with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure mechanical works progress as per the approved schedule.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings (MEP shop drawings) with the support of the technical team to ensure correct execution on site.
  • Conduct site inspections and assist in ensuring that quality and safety standards are met.
  • Assist in material take-offs (BOQs) and follow up to ensure timely procurement of required materials.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.
  • Document all site activities, inspections, and daily progress reports accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, NFPA standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and project specifications under supervision.
  • Attend site meetings and report daily progress to the senior engineer or project manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7 to 10 years of practical site experience in MEP works (Fire Fighting, Plumbing, HVAC).
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and MEP coordination.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and local mechanical codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical schematics.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work at project sites and support field activities.
