Foreign purchasing specialist / Import Specialist :

S

ources and procures goods and services internationally, the role is involving tasks like global supplier evaluation, international vendors contract negotiation, cost reduction and managing logistics and customs. 

Key responsibilities

Oversee quality, handling documentation and communication with all related parties internally and externally.

Core responsibilities

  • Sourcing and supplier management :

Research, identify, qualify, evaluate and contact the international suppliers and based on cost, quality, and Company sourcing strategy.

  • Negotiation and contracts :

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with foreign suppliers. Maintain goods supply and ensure delivery on time according to the Demand plan.

  • Procurement and ordering :

Prepare and issue purchase orders, review suppliers documents and assure all shipments documentation is correctly issued.

  • Logistics and customs :

Arrange, coordinate with logistics, shipping lines, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and compliant delivery and clearance of goods.

  • Market analysis:

Monitor international market trends, competition status and prices to improve the raw materials sourcing cost and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Reporting and administration:

Maintain accurate, on time and clear records of all purchasing activities and vendor data, and prepare regular reports on performance and costs.

  • Cross-functional collaboration:

Cooperate and collaborate with other departments like production, finance, and planning to align purchasing with business objectives and needs.

Essential skills

· : 2 years of experience and Hands on the Foreign purchasing procedures.

·       Strong negotiation and communication skills.

·       Goal-oriented self-starter with strong analytical skills.

·       Proficiency with computer-based systems

·       Experienced with international trade regulations and customs procedures. 

·       Strong command of English.
