The Role

We're seeking a
Senior iOS Developer
to own the design and implementation of our next-generation mobile reader app. You'll work hand-in-hand with our AI engineers, product designers, and backend team to deliver performant, user-friendly features that bring books to life on iPhone and iPad.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and build elegant, scalable iOS applications using Swift + SwiftUI, adopting MVVM and modern Swift Concurrency (async/await, Combine).
  • Integrate and optimize REST/GraphQL APIs, WebSockets, and streaming for low-latency audio and messaging, ensuring offline resilience.
  • Champion app performance — tuning for startup time, memory efficiency, battery life, and audio responsiveness.
  • Automate build and release pipelines (Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions), with analytics and monitoring (Sentry, Firebase) for production reliability.
  • Drive mobile security and privacy, managing secure storage, authentication, and permissions to safeguard user data.
  • Design adaptive, accessible interfaces for iPhone and iPad with accessibility and localization built in.
  • Mentor and lead by example — own code quality, guide architecture decisions, and track mobile KPIs for continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional iOS development (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit).
  • Proven history of shipping App Store–rated apps.
  • Deep understanding of mobile architectures, app lifecycle, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of UX design, accessibility, and Agile methodologies
  • Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and is passionate about AI and books.
