Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Inventory Control Section Head located in Qesm 1st 6 October. The Inventory Control Section Head will be responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, conducting physical inventory counts, and managing overall inventory control. The role involves daily coordination with other departments to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure efficient stock management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Inventory Accuracy and Optimization

  2. Manage Inventory Levels: Monitor, maintain, and optimize stock quantities (raw materials, spare parts, finished goods) to prevent stockouts and minimize excess/obsolete stock.

  3. Ensure Accuracy: Develop, implement, and supervise rigorous inventory control procedures, including cycle counting and physical inventory audits, to maintain data integrity between physical stock and the ERP/WMS system.

  4. System Management: Oversee the integrity of the inventory control module within the ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle), including managing master data creation, updates, and stock attributes.

  5. Leadership and Reporting

  6. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor the inventory control staff, setting performance goals and ensuring adherence to procedures.

  7. Performance Analysis: Analyze inventory data, calculate key performance indicators (KPIs) like stock turnover rate, and prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports for upper management.

  8. Budget & Procurement: Review and approve purchase requisitions, assist in budget preparation, and coordinate with the Procurement department to ensure timely replenishment.

  9. Warehouse Operations and Compliance

  10. Warehouse Efficiency: Manage the utilization and organization of warehouse space, and recommend efficient methods for receiving, storing, and issuing materials.

  11. Safety and Maintenance: Ensure all warehouse and inventory operations comply with company safety protocols and regulations (including handling of hazardous materials, like MSDS).

  12. Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, analyze operational variances, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance overall inventory and warehouse cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Shipping & Receiving
  • [5-7] years of progressive experience in inventory management, warehousing, or supply chain, with a minimum of [3] years in a supervisory or section head role.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in ensuring Inventory Accuracy
  • Skills in conducting Physical Inventory counts
  • Expertise in Inventory Control and Inventory Management
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work effectively on-site on 6 October
  • Previous experience in the cosmetics or FMCG industry is a plus
