Perform preventative maintenance on KBA and Heidelberg printing presses, following established schedules and procedures.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in printing press technology and maintenance practices
Desired Candidate Profile

Degree in mechanical / power engineering from accredited university - other relevant courses are a plus

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, preferably in the printing industry.
  • Strong familiarity with KBA and Heidelberg printing machines and their mechanical parts and technologies is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gears, bearings, and drive systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
