Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Frontend Engineer specializing in and at Octane's Cairo, Egypt location, with flexibility for remote work. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing web applications using and frameworks. Primary tasks will include crafting responsive user interfaces, collaborating with backend teams to integrate APIs, and ensuring optimal application performance. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting frontend issues and implementing secure, scalable code.

Responsibilities


• Design, develop, and maintain complex frontend applications using and


• Own frontend architecture, tooling, and performance optimization


• Convert UI/UX designs into high-quality, reusable, and scalable components


• Ensure applications meet high standards of performance, SEO, and accessibility


• Work closely with backend, product, and design teams


• Lead and participate in code reviews and enforce frontend best practices


• Mentor junior and mid-level frontend engineers


• Optimize build pipelines using Vite and Webpack


• Write and maintain unit, integration, and e2e tests


• Troubleshoot production issues and drive long-term technical improvements

Required Technical Skills


• Expert knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+)


• Strong hands-on experience with


• Strong experience with (SSR, SSG, ISR, routing, performance tuning)


• Solid experience with Vite and Webpack (configuration, optimization, plugins)


• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox, and CSS Grid


• Strong experience with TypeScript


• Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API, etc.)


• Experience integrating REST APIs


• Strong understanding of web performance optimization and SEO


• Experience with Git and collaborative branching workflows


• Strong understanding of accessibility (a11y) standards

• UI libraries: Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or similar


• Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress


• Build & Dev Tools: Vite, Webpack


• CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows


• Design systems and component-driven development
