Purpose:

Oversee the design, development, and enhancement of financial products tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Manage the full product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with the firm's growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to product strategy development in line with the firm's goals and market opportunities by conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities for new product development or enhancements based on customer needs.
  2. Manage product roadmaps and coordinate with the relevant teams to oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring the successful implementation of product initiatives while managing timelines, resources, and budgets.
  3. Lead the product development process by collaborating with relevant teams to ensure products are developed in line with specifications, budgets, and timelines, while establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure their success and profitability.
  4. Work with external partners and stakeholders to gather insights and validate product concepts, ensuring products meet market demand, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Provide regular updates to senior management on product progress, performance, and key milestones
  6. Work with innovation teams to explore and implement new technologies or solutions that enhance the company's product portfolio.
  7. Monitor product performance and customer feedback, analyzing data to make data-driven recommendations for continuous product improvements.
  8. Ensure compliance with all applicable AML/CTF rules and regulations as required in the conduct of the role.
  9. Ensure timely completion of all relevant AML/CTF training provided by the Group.
  10. Ensure response to AML, CTF & sanctions inquiries in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  2. Minimum 7 years' of experience in product development, preferably within the finance, fintech, or SME sectors.
  3. Proven track record of managing product lifecycles and successfully developing products from concept to market launch.
  4. Strong understanding of SME financing products and services.
  5. Experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and feature development.
  6. Ability to use statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in customer behavior and product performance.
  7. Familiarity with project management frameworks and tools to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  8. High-level understanding of regulatory compliance within the finance sector.
  9. Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
  10. Can recommend and implement solutions for problems, and adept at anticipating consequences.
  11. Experience in leading and motivating teams of high-performing professionals.
  12. Good command of Arabic and English.
  13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software.
