Job Summary:

The Cyber Security Expert is responsible for protecting the organization's digital assets, networks, and information systems from cyber threats. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, developing security solutions, monitoring systems for security breaches, and implementing measures to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Risk Assessment & Vulnerability Management


•    Conduct regular security audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments.


•    Identify potential security threats and develop mitigation strategies.


•    Ensure compliance with relevant security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).

2.   Network & System Protection


•    Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software.


•    Monitor network traffic for unusual activity or potential breaches.


•    Ensure secure configuration of servers, applications, and endpoints.

3.   Incident Response & Recovery


•    Detect, respond to, and recover from security incidents.


•    Conduct forensic analysis to determine the cause and impact of breaches.


•    Document incidents and develop post-incident improvement plans.

4.   Security Policies & Compliance


•    Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.


•    Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory cybersecurity requirements.


•    Educate employees on cybersecurity awareness and safe practices.

5.   Continuous Improvement


•    Stay up to date with emerging cyber threats and technologies.


•    Recommend and implement security improvements.


•    Work with IT teams to integrate security into new projects and systems.

Required Skills & Competencies:


•    Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and encryption.


•    Expertise in ethical hacking, penetration testing, and incident response.


•    Knowledge of operating systems security (Windows, Linux, macOS).


•    Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).


•    Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, etc.).


•    Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.


•    Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Educational Qualifications:


•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.


•    Master's degree or specialized certifications preferred.

•    CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional


•    CEH – Certified Ethical Hacker


•    CISM – Certified Information Security Manager


•    CompTIA Security+ / CySA+
