About the role

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading the design of solutions and managing the teams developing them within a project. You will also be responsible for selecting a team with the appropriate skillset or alternatively ensuring that the team acquires the required capabilities in due time. You must also ensure proper solution delivery, monitoring, and governance using MLOps.

As a part of your job, you will:

  • Leverage data and domain knowledge to solve business problems and create quantifiable value.
  • Work cross-functionally to define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models, and design suitable solutions.
  • Build and maintain (or lead the development of) data-driven optimization models, experiments, forecasting algorithms, and capacity constraint models.
  • Lead teams into delivering models using best MLOps practices.
  • Communicate final recommendations and support decision-making.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in an analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Management Science);
  • Scripting with Python and nice to have one of these languages (e.g., Pyspark, Spark-mllib);
  • Experienced with packages such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, matplotlib, and tensorflow/pytorch;
  • 4-5 Years of project experience as a Data Scientist;
  • Professional experience with Java, Scala, or Spark;
  • Experience working with and leading teams in a project environment;
  • Experience in delivering projects using MLOps best practices.

Nice to have:

  • 1+ years of SQL experience;
  • Experience in distribution-based architectures such as Cloudera, AWS, Microsoft Azure Cloud, and GCP (Google Cloud Platform), among others;
  • Knowledge of Data Governance.

  • Teamwork skills but also a sense of autonomy;
  • Motivation for international projects and ok if travel is included;
  • Willingness to collaborate with other players;
  • Strong communication skills.
