Mechanical BIM Design Engineer

Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with strong proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination, and proven experience in Saudi Arabia-based projects. Must be knowledgeable in mechanical systems for residential and commercial buildings.

Job Responsibilities:


• Lead and manage the mechanical design department to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant mechanical designs.


• Oversee all stages of mechanical design, from concept development to detailed design and construction documentation.


• Coordinate with other departments (architectural, structural, electrical, and interior) to ensure full integration of mechanical systems within overall project design.


• Supervise and perform BIM coordination activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency of MEP models.


• Review and approve design drawings, HVAC calculations, plumbing layouts, fire-fighting systems, and material selections.


• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the mechanical design team.


• Ensure all designs comply with Saudi building codes, international standards, and project-specific requirements.


• Monitor project schedules, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.


• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues.

Qualifications and Skills:


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).


• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and team management.


• Excellent proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination tools.


• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems for residential and commercial buildings.


• Proven experience in handling Saudi Arabia-based projects.


• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
