    ompany specialized in half-fried potato production located in Cairo , Egypt .
  • Position Purchasing Manager
  • Reporting To Senior Supply Chain Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and production needs.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers of raw potatoes, cooking oils, packaging materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, reliability, delivery, and cost.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and high quality.
  • Manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to ensure all materials meet food safety and quality standards (ISO, HACCP, etc.).
  • Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and risk factors affecting raw material costs.
  • Develop cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement strategies in the procurement process.
  • Lead and develop the purchasing team to enhance efficiency and accountability.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 10 years of purchasing experience, in the
    half-fried potato
    industry.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Understanding of agricultural raw materials (especially potatoes) and food-grade packaging materials.
  • Familiarity with import/export procedures and local Egyptian procurement regulations.

Proficiency in Oddo systems and MS Office.

Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
