Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for an Approval Doctor/Claims Officer. The responsibilities include evaluating medical claims, conducting detailed assessments of health risks, and ensuring compliance with policies and protocols. The role also involves collaborating with healthcare providers, supporting claims-related decisions, and delivering quality-driven outcomes. The individual will work closely with a team to ensure efficient claims processing and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare systems, and claims processing
  • Experience in medical risk evaluation and claims workflow management
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills for evaluating complex claims scenarios
  • Ability to collaborate with healthcare providers and work independently in a remote environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Previous experience in managed care or the insurance industry is a plus
  • A medical degree or equivalent qualifications in healthcare-related fields
