Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations for imported medical devices. As a key member of our management team, you will oversee vendor coordination, international procurement, shipping, customs clearance, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and distribution across Egypt. You will ensure timely and compliant delivery of high-quality medical devices to hospitals, clinics, and healthcare partners throughout the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with international suppliers and manufacturers of medical devices.
  • Handle international purchase orders, shipping schedules, and payment terms.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory consultants to ensure smooth importation.
  • Monitor and optimize lead times from suppliers to delivery.
  • Ensure all imported products comply with Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) regulations.
  • Oversee documentation requirements such as import licenses, certificates of origin, Free Sale Certificates, and CE/FDA approvals.
  • Liaise with Regulatory Affairs team to support product registration, labeling, and customs clearance processes.
  • Manage all aspects of customs clearance, ensuring accurate HS codes, duties, and taxes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with logistics providers and customs agents.
  • Resolve delays or issues at ports or airports efficiently.
  • Oversee local warehousing operations, ensuring compliance with proper storage conditions for medical devices (e.g., sterile products, temperature-sensitive items).
  • Implement inventory control measures to avoid overstocking or stock outs.
  • Coordinate physical stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Supervise distribution of products to hospitals, clinics, and medical centers across Egypt.
  • Optimize local transportation and delivery scheduling for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure on-time order fulfillment and high customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and mentor the supply chain and logistics team.
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance, inventory levels, and cost efficiency.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical or Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of supply chain or logistics experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare distribution.
  • Previous experience dealing with the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) and handling customs clearance for imported medical devices .
  • Proven experience managing international procurement and import processes.
  • Familiarity with EDA and MOH regulations in Egypt is essential.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping, Incoterms, and import compliance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
