  • Job Purpose

The Site Engineer is accountable for organizing materials, monitoring project progress, and providing technical expertise to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role also involves overseeing daily site operations, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and supporting overall project execution.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize materials and maintain construction sites to be safe, clean, and well-managed.
  • Ensure the availability of appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for scheduled work.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommend improvements to enhance project outcomes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical or equipment-related issues on-site as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules; communicate updates and changes to the team.
  • Collect site data, compile progress reports, and present findings to the direct manager.
  • Ensure all work complies with required quality and safety standards.
  • Key Accountabilities
  • Minimize project delays by coordinating the timely procurement and delivery of resources, ensuring readiness for scheduled tasks.
  • Improve project performance by providing practical engineering solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure continuous workflow by promptly resolving site issues, reducing equipment downtime, and minimizing disruptions.
  • Support informed decision-making by delivering accurate, timely reports and updates on project status, resource utilization, and potential risks.
  • Job Specification (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (as relevant).
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in a site-based engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety practices, tools, and methods.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and site layouts.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or project management software is a plus.
