Position Overview:

As a Quality Control supervisor in our fresh and frozen meat manufacturing facility, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards for safety, quality, and compliance. You will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, performing quality assurance testing, and ensuring adherence to international standards and regulatory requirements, including ISO 22000, HACCP, NFSA, and GMP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Inspection & Testing: Conduct routine inspections and tests of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet product specifications and comply with food safety standards.
  • Food Safety Management Systems: Ensure strict adherence to ISO 22000, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), NFSA (National Food Safety Authority), and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Ensure all processes, from raw material sourcing to final packaging, comply with these standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards, including USDA, FDA, and NFSA guidelines. Ensure all necessary certifications and licenses are up to date.
  • Quality Control Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of quality control checks, testing results, and deviations. Prepare reports for management on product quality, safety issues, and corrective actions.
  • Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA): Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed. Work with production teams to improve processes and eliminate the root causes of quality problems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste, improving product consistency, and optimizing production efficiency.
  • Training and Support: Support the training of production and processing staff on food safety standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Assist in maintaining a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Audits & Inspections: Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits related to food safety and quality. Coordinate with regulatory bodies and third-party auditors as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in a quality control or food safety management role, preferably in the fresh or frozen meat industry.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 22000, HACCP, NFSA, and GMP in a food manufacturing environment is required.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of food safety management systems (ISO 22000, HACCP, NFSA, GMP) and their application in meat processing.
  • Familiarity with microbiological, chemical, and sensory testing methods for meat products.
  • Proficient in quality control documentation, traceability systems, and regulatory reporting.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to spot discrepancies or quality concerns quickly and act promptly.
