Summary

The Sales Director is responsible for leading the company's sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and developing strong customer relationships. This role oversees the entire sales department, setting targets, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring consistent execution to achieve business goals. The Sales Director works closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to align sales objectives with overall company strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

·      Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement the company's overall sales strategy and business development plan.

Set annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets in alignment with company goals.

Identify new market opportunities, distribution channels, and partnerships to expand market share.

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.

Collaborate with the executive team on pricing, product positioning, and sales forecasts.

·      Sales Operations Management:

Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring achievement of sales targets across all regions or business units.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, conversion rates, and profitability.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners.

Ensure accurate and timely sales reporting, pipeline management, and forecasting.

Review and optimize sales processes and CRM usage to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

·      Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional performance.

Set clear goals, provide ongoing coaching, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

Identify training needs and facilitate professional development for team members.

Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and customer success.

·      Collaboration and Communication:

10. Work closely with the Marketing Team to align sales and marketing strategies.

11. Coordinate with Operations and Finance to ensure accurate demand planning and profitability.

12. Represent the company at key industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.

Academic Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree

·      Accredited certificates and MBA are a plus

Experience

15 years or more in similar post and industry
