Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous Technical Document Writer to develop, review, and maintain technical drawings/documentation for ELV systems (security, AV, CCTV) while implementing rigorous quality control processes. This dual-role position requires both expert CAD skills and a quality-focused mindset to ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and functionality before deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

CAD & Technical Documentation:

  • Create/review detailed drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and schematics for ELV systems
  • Maintain/update standardized design libraries to optimize efficiency
  • Prepare tender-compliant documentation (BOMs, installation guides, as-built drawings)
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure technical accuracy

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement QA checklists for all drawings/documentation
  • Conduct peer reviews of team deliverables before submission
  • Verify compliance with ISO/ANSI standards and project specifications
  • Maintain version control and document audit trails
  • Identify recurring errors and implement corrective action plans
  • Develop/maintain template libraries to standardize outputs
  • Report quality metrics (error rates, revision cycles) to management

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must-have:
    • Bachelor's in Engineering/ICT + 3+ years CAD/technical writing experience
    • Expertise in AutoCAD/SolidWorks and document control systems
    • Proven QA/QC experience in technical documentation
    • In-depth knowledge of ELV systems and relevant standards
  • Preferred:
    • Certification in Quality Management (CQE, Six Sigma)
    • Experience with BIM workflows and ISO 9001 documentation
    • Knowledge of IEC/BS/EN standards for ELV systems
