Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Business Development:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive brokerage strategy to achieve business objectives, increase market share, and optimize sales performance.
  • Identify, develop, and implement initiatives to drive growth through the broker channel.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and oversee high-value or complex transactions, ensuring successful outcomes.

  • Broker Relationship Management (Internal/External):

  • Establish and maintain strong, productive relationships with key external brokerage firms, agents, or internal broker teams.
  • Negotiate and manage agreements, ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level broker escalations and strategic discussions.
  • Develop programs and incentives to motivate and ensure the successful performance of broker partners or the internal team.

  • Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and manage the internal brokerage team (Broker Managers, Brokers, Coordinators, etc.).
  • Set clear performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and implement development plans.
  • Oversee workflow management, resource allocation, and daily operations to ensure efficiency and high service standards.
  • Foster a culture of customer service excellence, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

  • Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure the brokerage operations and all associated activities adhere to industry regulations, licensing requirements, and internal policies.
  • Work closely with Compliance and Legal teams to audit processes and implement necessary controls.
  • Monitor and resolve potential risks, compliance issues, and client complaints/escalations.

  • Operations and Reporting

  • Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business outcomes for the broker channel.
  • Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of operational processes, such as trade settlements, documentation, and client reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and technology implementation (e.g., CRM, trading systems) to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    Proven experience 4+ in a senior role within brokerage, sales management, or a related sector, with significant experience managing a team or broker relationships.
  • Licensing:
    Relevant industry licenses and certifications are required (e.g., FINRA licenses, Real Estate Broker license, Customs Broker license, depending on the industry).
  • Leadership:
    Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
  • Communication & Negotiation:
    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in high-stakes negotiation and influencing stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    In-depth knowledge of the relevant financial markets, real estate, insurance products, or customs legislation, along with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Analytical Skills:
    Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to inform strategic decisions and evaluate performance.
