Bold Experience is hiring now for a position in platform engineering that specializes in backend and devOps.

we need someone who can take ownership of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring, while also contributing to backend development when needed.

This is a hybrid role:

  • Primary: DevOps Engineering
  • Secondary: Backend Development

You'll work across infrastructure automation, developer experience, and application-level problem solving.

What You'll Do

Infrastructure & Cloud (Primary Focus)

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure across GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps. Automate infrastructure with Terraform (IaC).
  • Manage Kubernetes environments (AKS, EKS, GKE, Cloud Run, Container Apps). Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability with Prometheus & Grafana.
  • Optimize infrastructure for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency. Apply security best practices to deployments and workloads.
  • Participate in incident response and on-call support.

Backend Development (Secondary Focus)

  • Contribute to backend services in Python and TypeScript.
  • Build automation tools, APIs, and internal services supporting infrastructure workflows.
  • Debug and optimize backend systems in production.
  • Collaborate with the backend team on architecture decisions.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of professional experience in DevOps Engineering and Backend Development.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud provider (GCP, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud).
  • Production experience with Docker & Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Monitoring and logging expertise (Prometheus, Grafana; ELK or others are a plus).
  • Strong coding skills in Python and/or TypeScript. Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of cloud and backend security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, comfortable working in production environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to machine learning model deployment.
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud setups.
  • Certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Engineer, CKA, Azure DevOps Engineer). Prior startup/scale-up experience.
