As Senior System Admin will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting number of Linux Environments (Dev/UAT/Production) in and will be supporting both development and operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and secure large scale Linux server environments (Redhat/Centos/Ubuntu) and handling Linux environments including deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, troubleshooting and production operations.
  • Work with the internal team and external parties in troubleshooting/resolving application outages and other incidents to ensure performance and stability.
  • Contribute to the development of configuration management and automate routine tasks.
  • Configuring, administrating and troubleshooting of (Apache/Nginx Web, Database, JBOSS App, DNS) servers
  • Responsible for system updates, monitoring, security, capacity planning and stability.
  • Identify software and hardware problems and fix issues quickly
  • Help the development team to resolve challenges related to environment/ servers and systems.

Qualifications

  • Working experience as a Linux System Administrator 3+ years.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience building, configuring and monitoring web server system components and compiling open-source applications.
  • Very good knowledge, safe handling and experience with Linux systems (RedHat/CentOS)
  • Experience in a web hosting environment and/or supporting a development environment.
  • Experience in dealing with databases, especially PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Experience with webservers, reverse proxies, cache servers, application servers, SQL/NoSQL database servers.
  • Good Knowledge of the following tools and technologies:
    Apache
    , Nginx, Bash, Python
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Prometheus & Grafana)
  • Excellent command of English language.
  • Experience in Cloud and DevOps tools such as Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes is a plus

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo. Daily in-person collaboration is essential to support teamwork, rapid decision-making, and platform stability. Candidates residing in Cairo or nearby areas are preferred.
