Robox Industries is seeking a talented Operations Engineer to join our team and lead the operations of our robots

Key Responsibilities:

1) Pre-operations Preparation

- Prepare robots for the site operations (eg. Events, Malls & others) (software & hardware readiness)

- Ensure batteries are charged and spare parts are ready

- Perform full pre-operation testing of the robots.

- Report the client-specific needs for the R&D team. 

- Confirm client-specific content or workflows are programmed and ready.

2) On-Site Operations

- Deliver the robots to the sites and set up the robots.

- Install robots on-site and connect to displays/internet/systems if needed.

- Perform final tuning before launch.

- Operate robots throughout the operation and monitor for any errors.

- Interact with clients/event organizers and adjust settings as requested.

- Guide clients/teams on best practices to maximize engagement.

3) Troubleshooting

- Immediately handle any software or hardware glitches.

- Fix minor issues on-site.

- Implement bypass solutions for major problems to keep robots running.

- Document issues and report to the R&D team for improvements.

4) Post-operations Tasks

- Return robots to the office and perform post-operations inspections

- Write brief reports summarizing performance, issues, and client feedback

- Download and process event data, including:

- Number of interactions

- Leads collected

- Value delivered by the robots

5) Design Tasks (R&D based on operations challenges)

- Review and improve the mechanical designs of our robots.

- Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

- Support R&D in prototyping and testing new components.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering background

  • Problem-solving mindset & ability to work in fast-paced events  ((TOP REQ.))

  • Experience in mechanical design (SolidWorks)

  • Basic electronics / mechatronics knowledge

  • Flexible to switch between on-site events and design tasks
