Role Overview:

We are looking for a talented
AI Engineer
to join our growing team. As an AI Engineer at Smart Bricks, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying the machine learning and generative AI systems that power our real estate intelligence platform. You will work closely with our product, backend, and data teams to develop end-to-end ML pipelines, integrate models into production, and ensure they perform reliably and at scale. This role requires strong technical expertise in modern AI/ML frameworks, a deep understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle, and a passion for applying AI to transform how real estate investment decisions are made.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Model Development:
  Design, build, and deploy machine learning and generative AI models that power Smart Bricks' underwriting automation, market analysis, document intelligence, investment screening, and portfolio analytics features.
• End-to-End ML Systems:
  Develop scalable ML pipelines that include data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and real-time monitoring.
• Product Integration:
  Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and backend engineers to integrate models seamlessly into platform workflows and customer-facing applications.
• Performance, Efficiency & Scalability:
  Optimize models for accuracy, latency, reliability, and cost — ensuring they can scale across asset classes, markets, and large datasets.
• ML Infrastructure:
  Build and maintain AI infrastructure such as model registries, feature stores, evaluation frameworks, and automated retraining workflows.
• AI Safety & Reliability:
  Implement robust testing, guardrails, monitoring, and evaluation practices to ensure model quality, stability, fairness, and responsible AI behavior.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an
  AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role
  , with strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Experience building and deploying ML models in
  production
  , ideally in data-heavy or analytics-focused environments.
• Familiarity with real-estate-related datasets is a plus (listings, transactions, valuations, documents, geospatial data, etc.).
• Experience with
  cloud platforms
  (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of
  machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, embeddings, LLMs, and vector databases
  .
• Experience working with
  large datasets
  , distributed training, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency with
  CI/CD
  , version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks for ML systems.
• Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast-paced, product-driven startup environment.
• A passion for applying AI to transform how real estate investment decisions are made.
