Transmed continues to transform its business digital landscape to maximize value for Transmed business, customers and suppliers through the implementation, management, and support of strategic business-fit industry-leading technologies, digital capabilities, and data.

The Manager, Data Science and Advance Analytics
will play an integral role in leading the delivery of high value data initiatives, as well as in developing the business capabilities of the Data Science and Advanced Analytics function and team. Responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing predictive models, leveraging AI, identifying and visualizing insights that can be used to drive business decisions. Work closely with cross-functional commercial, corporate and technology teams across the Transmed regional countries and business models to understand business needs, challenges, and analyze large data sets to provide data-driven solutions.

The Manager, Data Science and Advance Analytics
will solve complex business problems leveraging advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities, develop and implement predictive models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality.

Key Competencies & Skills:

• Lead the data science and advanced analytics services and functions delivering high value projects and activities that provide actionable insights for strategic decisions making productivity and efficiency.
• Engage with internal business, external stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver tangible value that align with the business strategic objectives through exploitation of datasets, insights, techniques, digital capabilities and automation.
• Work with senior leaders, business community, customers, suppliers and strategic partners to deliver projects and activities in line with the business requirements and priorities.
• Communicates complex data and analyses effectively and ensure that data analyses and contexts are fully understood and actionable by business partners, customers and suppliers.
• Lead the development and implementation of data science and advanced techniques and tools in response to business needs including exploratory analysis, machine learning, natural language processing, statistical and predictive modelling, data visualization and emerging techniques such as the application of generative AI.
• Data mining and extracting of usable data from trusted data sources. Analyze large amounts of data, run custom queries, identify patterns and trends to recommend actions and solutions.
• Propose data solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges. Improve and maintain business data infrastructure and tools.
• Lead a high performing Data Science and Advanced Analytics team including recruitment, mentorship and continued development science.

Role Requirements

Academic Education & Professional Certifications Operational & Managerial Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics focusing on Analysis, High Performance Computing, Operations Research, Engineering or quantitative or

related discipline.

• Master's in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field is a plus.

6+ years
of progressive business technology experience with statistical modeling and data visualization.

4+ years
of people leadership experience in building, managing and developing high performing teams.

• Certification and / or proficiency in databases, statistical models and programming languages such as Python, and database query languages like SQL is preferred.

• Certification, working knowledge, and / or familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus.

• Excellent storytelling, communication and presentation skills collaborating with business leaders at various level spread regionally across various countries and business models.

• Demonstrated ability to think and execute operationally, innovatively, and strategically.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills to plan, develop and execute business data projects and activities.

• Experience with data visualization and ability to describe findings to a technical and non-technical leader and users' community.

• Ability to manage budget and suggest areas of cost optimization and reduction.

• Experience in managing relationships with IT business leaders and users' community, IT vendors and suppliers ensuring performance and ethical practices aligns with Transmed requirements and values.

• Experience of mentoring and leading the professional development of Data Scientists, Data and AI Analysts.

Skills & Knowledge:

Strong ability to work with diverse data sources and data types.

Experience with data engineering and data pipeline development.

Experience in delivering customer facing data services and solutions in a complex, matrix, and integrated IT business environment.

A strong intellectual curiosity and ability to approach new questions, opportunities, data, and techniques with an inquisitive mind.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and experience in FMCG industry with technical capabilities is preferred.

Complete self-starter skills to suggest, build and apply frameworks, solutions, best practices and standards.
