Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Heliopolis for a Sr. Accounts Payable Accountant. The role involves overseeing day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, managing account reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting activities. The Sr. Accounts Payable Accountant will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth payment processes and compliance with company policies. Additionally, the position includes identifying and implementing improvements in payment processes and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Issuing advance payments to suppliers and contractors and performing monthly reconciliation for them.
  • Communicating with the company's suppliers and responding to any inquiries or resolving any payment-related issues.
  • Reviewing the financial data in technical invoices and ensuring they comply with the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Reviewing petty cash advances in terms of documentation and verifying the required approvals.
  • Following up on closing temporary advances as soon as possible and permanent advances before the end of the fiscal year.
  • Receiving and reviewing payroll statements for temporary labor at company sites, issuing them as advances to site accountants for disbursement, and reviewing the corresponding cash-receipt vouchers.
  • Receiving employees' missions and allowances after HR approval and preparing the payment order for disbursement.
  • Receiving, inspecting, and reviewing invoices along with the goods receipt note, inspection report, and purchase order in terms of quantities, items, and prices.
  • Corresponding with relevant parties in case of any issues and following up on their resolution.
  • Entering invoices, statements, and cash advances into Oracle and ensuring cost allocation to projects and departments is accurate.
  • Ensuring invoice due dates are correct and preparing the payment order on which the cheque issuance is based.
  • Performing monthly reconciliation with major companies (such as concrete and steel suppliers) to determine the status of received invoices and follow up on cheque status with the Banks and Treasury Department.
  • Following up on the status of advance payments by coordinating with the Procurement Department and direct manager to close these advances as soon as possible.
